There is a star in the sky

There is a star in the sky,
So bright and beautiful,
I feel my heart fill,
And reach out through the window sill.

I fly above the clouds below,
Everything is in a wonderful glow,
I dance along the Milky way,
With this star I've come to know.

It brings me joy to be so high,
And share all I have with this someone I know,
But something I sense, mildly then strongly
A deep sensation that greets me oddly.

I realize that this star, blazing away
Is really far far away
No matter what I say or do
I cannot take home, this lovely spirit

My heart starts to ache
And I am afraid
That in this sky dance of ours
I have hurt it too

I know I have to let go
And let it burn bright
And let it warm up
Someone else's night
